Google Algorithm Updates : Complete History

The Google algorithm updates are a new way for Google to determine the top search results. The change is based on the amount of time people spend on a page, and how often they click on it.

While this may seem like an obvious change, there are some differences between recent updates and other updates in the past. One difference is that the changes have been made in a way that encourages more organic traffic from search engines. This means that users will be able to find content that’s relevant to their searches without having to pay for it through AdWords or other paid search options.

Another huge difference is that these changes aren’t permanent, so you’re able to catch up if you miss one or two weeks of updates.

What are Google Algorithms?

Google Algorithms are the way in which Google processes and ranks web pages. These algorithms determine how your website will be displayed in search results, including whether it will be shown at all.

The three most important algorithms are:

PageRank - determines how high up in the search results your page will appear. The higher your page's PageRank, the more likely it is that users will click on it.

Citations - determines how often other websites link to yours. The more other sites link to you, the better chance you have of appearing at the top of results when someone searches for information related to those sites.

Authority - determines how trustworthy your website appears to Google's human reviewers, who determine which websites appear at the top of search results and also determine which sites get traffic from Google's AdSense network (which pays out money for displaying ads).
